At 59, Carla Weaver stands at a meaningful intersection of life, work, and community. A former Montessori educator, Carla spent two decades teaching before making the courageous decision to step away from the classroom to be more present during her children’s pre-teen years. That choice—rooted in family—ultimately opened the door to a second act built on creativity, entrepreneurship, and connection.
Carla is the founder of EB2 Vintage, a business she has grown steadily over the past eleven and a half years through calculated risk-taking, deep relationships, and an unwavering commitment to calm, beauty, and belonging. What began with painting furniture and selling out of another shop (while still teaching) quickly evolved into a thriving space where people come not just to shop, but to linger, connect, and feel at peace. Customers often apologize for not buying anything—proof that the store has become a sanctuary as much as a marketplace. The group of women who help EB2 Vintage thrive are treasured friends as well as business partners.
Community has always been inseparable from Carla’s work. Through EB2 Vintage, Rotary Club involvement, and partnerships with other women-owned businesses like Raduno and Lake District Wines, she has helped mobilize businesses and customers alike to deliver tangible support - food, clothing, furniture, funds, and dignity - to families and individuals in need. Giving back isn’t an add-on; it’s embedded in how she operates.
Raised by parents who modeled lifelong service, Carla carries that legacy forward. Her children, now young adults, were Rotary exchange students, continuing the thread of global citizenship, learning, and making the world a better place.
What Carla finds most rewarding about being over 40 is the freedom: freedom to take risks, to trust her instincts, to create beauty, and to hold space for others. Calm, grounded, and quietly bold, she continues to build places - and communities - where women support women, and life feels just a little more peaceful.
