40 over 40: Meet Niché

In her own words: As I’ve entered this new season of life, life over 40, I carry with me the

gifts of growth, grace, and hard-earned transformation. I am a woman

of faith and a person in long-term recovery—over seventeen years of

choosing healing, choosing honesty, and choosing a life that aligns

with God’s purpose for me. Recovery has shaped me; it has opened

the door to discovering who I truly am and the woman I continue to

become.

Over the last few years, I’ve been intentionally focused on growing

into the person I want to be—for me, and ultimately, who God

designed me to be. What matters most now is

connection—connection to God, to myself, and to the people around

me. I’m learning to build deeper relationships, the kind that go beyond

the surface and make space for truth, vulnerability, and the hard

things we often avoid. These relationships have become sacred

places where real healing takes root.

I’m learning to meet every part of myself with curiosity rather than

judgment, to allow my emotions space without letting them dictate my

reactions, and to understand that healing the deeper places within me

brings more freedom than I ever imagined. I’m discovering the

importance of play—something that was mostly out of reach before

my 40s—being less serious, relaxing, and allowing joy to take up

more room in my life. I’m practicing laughing more, taking vacations

without guilt, and fully enjoying the simple goodness around me. Like

sitting on the beach, building sandcastles.

As I step fully into life at 46, I’m embracing this next chapter with

hope. I want it to be marked by more love, more freedom, more play,

and more authentic connection. I want to continue becoming a

woman who listens closely—to God, to others, and to the quiet

wisdom within. My story is still unfolding, and I’m grateful for every

part of the journey that brought me here. If you’re reading this, I hope

you feel encouraged to keep discovering what brings YOU peace,

love, and hope—because your story is worth every step. I’m cheering

you on!
